My Vizio TV has a recurring sound problem. Audio disappears while watching content, whether I'm casting Crunchyroll from my phone or using the Netflix app built into the TV. The apps themselves don't seem to be the issue because the sound fails across different sources. The volume isn't muted, I've checked the sound settings, and the TV is fully updated. There are no external audio devices connected, and the only thing that restores sound is turning the TV off and back on. What could be causing this, and how can I fix it permanently?

Since the audio cuts out across both casting and built-in apps, it points more toward the TV’s audio system or firmware than either app. Check for any available firmware update, then try a full power reset by unplugging the TV from the wall for several minutes before reconnecting it. If the problem keeps returning after that, a factory reset or contacting Vizio support may be necessary.

The TV is already up to date, and I’ve checked that it isn’t muted. I also tried a full power cycle, but the sound still disappears until I restart the TV.
