I just bought a CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme desktop and connected it to my Wi‑Fi, but the internet is extremely slow. My laptop gets about 53.1 Mbps download and 0.06 Mbps upload on the same network, while the new PC only gets around 0.70 Mbps download and the upload test will not finish. I skipped a few parts of the Windows 11 setup, so I'm wondering whether missing updates or drivers could be causing this. The PC isn't connected by Ethernet, but my laptop isn't either. Is there something I need to configure or install?

The antennas are the first thing I’d check. Even with them installed, some built-in Wi‑Fi adapters perform only moderately well, so a newer Wi‑Fi card or Ethernet connection may improve speeds. In this case, finding and connecting the included antennas should resolve the immediate issue.
Check whether the Wi‑Fi antennas are attached to the back of the desktop. Most desktop Wi‑Fi adapters need the included antennas, and without them the signal can be extremely weak. They’re usually in the accessories box and screw onto the two antenna connectors.
If you can, connect the PC temporarily with an Ethernet cable. That helps determine whether the problem is the internet connection itself or the desktop’s Wi‑Fi hardware and signal. Also let Windows finish installing updates and device drivers.

That was it—I found the antennas in the accessories box and connected them. Thanks everyone!
