I'm using an Intel i7-12700K with an RTX 2060 as the primary GPU and a GT 730 as a secondary card on an ASUS PRIME B760M-A WIFI D4 motherboard. The GT 730 is not detected by Windows at all, and its fan does not spin, even though the card works in another motherboard. Is the second PCIe slot disabled by default, or is there a BIOS setting I need to change?

Check the BIOS settings for the secondary PCIe slot and leave its link speed set to Auto. The GT 730 is a PCIe 2.0 card while the RTX 2060 is PCIe 3.0, so manually forcing an incompatible generation could prevent detection. The intended setup is to use the RTX 2060 for Windows and the GT 730 for a planned Hackintosh installation.
Enabling CSM or another legacy-compatibility option is the most likely fix for an older GT-series NVIDIA card on a newer platform. If that doesn’t help, test the card alone in the main slot and verify its auxiliary power, seating, and the motherboard’s PCIe slot settings.
The second PCIe slot normally isn’t disabled, but the GT 730 is an older card that may use a legacy VGA BIOS. Newer motherboards often require Compatibility Support Module (CSM) to be enabled before they can initialize cards like this. Try enabling CSM in the BIOS, then check whether the card appears. It’s also worth testing the GT 730 by itself in the primary slot to confirm it still works with this system.

Thanks, I’ll test that and report back.
