Wi-Fi disappeared after restarting WLAN AutoConfig—how can I restore it?

I've been dealing with ping spikes for about two months. While troubleshooting, I disabled the WLAN AutoConfig service, which seemed to help temporarily. After turning the service back on, my PC stopped connecting to wireless networks entirely. The Wi-Fi option has disappeared, even though Device Manager says the drivers are working. Common fixes haven't helped, and I'm wondering whether I need to reset Windows.

System details: Intel Core i5-4600K, PRO B760-VC WIFI GEN5 motherboard, and a Realtek 8852CE Wi-Fi 6E PCI-E adapter. I can provide more information if needed.

Try downloading the Wi-Fi driver from the motherboard or adapter manufacturer, then uninstall the Realtek adapter in Device Manager and reinstall the downloaded driver. Also check that the WLAN AutoConfig service is set to Automatic and is running. If the adapter still doesn’t appear, use Windows’ Network Reset or check whether it has been disabled in Device Manager or BIOS.

The exact drivers for this board no longer seem to be available from the manufacturer, so I’ve been using drivers from a similar model. They worked normally until I disabled and re-enabled WLAN AutoConfig, but I’ll try removing the adapter and reinstalling them anyway.
