I'm upgrading my PC gradually on a limited budget. My refurbished RX 6800 recently died, and I was given an RX 9070 XT as a replacement. The rest of the system is a Ryzen 5 5600X with 32GB of DDR4-3200 memory. I usually play at 1440p, though I don't always use that resolution. Is this a balanced setup, or should I expect a major CPU bottleneck?

Since your memory is actually DDR4-3200, you’re in a much better position than you first thought. Make sure it’s running at its rated speed using the motherboard’s memory profile setting. You don’t need to overclock it manually unless you enjoy tuning; 3200MHz is good enough for the 5600X. A future upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D would reduce CPU limits, but it isn’t urgent.
You’ll mainly notice a bottleneck in games that are heavily CPU-dependent or when targeting very high FPS at 1080p. At 1440p, the 9070 XT should have plenty of work to do. If a particular game becomes CPU-limited, capping the frame rate can make performance feel smoother, and frame generation may help in supported titles.
That’s still a solid combination. The 5600X may limit performance in some CPU-heavy games, especially at very high frame rates, but it won’t cripple the 9070 XT. At 1440p—and especially 4K—the GPU usually becomes the limiting part. Your 850W power supply is also plenty for this setup, assuming it’s installed and connected correctly.

I was worried because I thought the RAM was only 2666MHz, but I checked again and it’s actually 3200MHz. I’m not very confident with manual RAM overclocking, so I’ll probably leave it at the rated speed for now.
