Hi everyone! I'm a full-time video editor and graphic designer, and I've been using a Dell laptop from 2021 to handle my work. I often deal with 4k footage, motion graphics, and sometimes basic 3D rendering, and I usually have Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Illustrator open simultaneously. Since this will also be my personal computer, it's important for it to perform well for video production and have decent gaming capabilities during my downtime. Fortunately, my job is allowing me to build a new workstation, and they're covering most of the costs, which is fantastic! I'm looking for feedback on the components I've picked out for my first build, so please take a look and let me know if you see any issues or have suggestions before I make my orders. Thanks in advance! Here's the list: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/86M6sK]

If you anticipate needing fast external storage, look for a motherboard with Thunderbolt or high-speed USB-C ports. Also, if your budget allows, consider getting an ultrawide monitor for a better workflow and go for something 4K or higher!
Have you considered going with DDR5 6000 RAM since your work is covering the costs? That would really help with speed! It sounds like they’re supporting you fully, right?
Honestly, I’d recommend reaching out to professionals like Puget Systems for specifications and assembly. They are great at building workstations for creatives, and you might even get a chance to assemble it yourself after they spec it out!
For your use case, I’d recommend opting for a non-X3D processor when you’re focusing primarily on non-gaming workloads. It should give you better performance for video editing tasks.

Yeah, it seems like they'll cover 100%! I just missed the DDR5 6000 options. I found a good one that’s priced similarly, so I'm definitely going to switch to that. Thanks for the tip!
