AWS billing case has been unassigned for five days—how can I escalate it?

I accidentally purchased an exportable ACM certificate and was charged CAD $236.44. I deleted the certificate as soon as I noticed and opened a billing support case requesting a one-time refund, but five days later the case is still marked Unassigned. My account only includes Web support, without chat or phone access. Is there an official way to get the case reviewed sooner, or should I continue waiting?

Unfortunately, billing cases can sometimes sit unassigned for quite a while. Other users have reported waiting weeks, even with paid support, so five days may not be unusual. Keep monitoring the case and add any relevant details, such as when the certificate was deleted and that it was purchased accidentally.

There does not appear to be a reliable way to bypass the queue with Web support. You can try updating the existing case through the official AWS Support Center and clearly explain that this was an accidental purchase, the certificate was promptly deleted, and you are requesting a one-time courtesy refund. If AWS provides another secure support channel for case escalation, use that rather than opening multiple duplicate cases.
