Best AM4 CPU Upgrade Under ₱15,000 for a Radeon 9060 XT?

I'm building a gaming system for 1080p through moderate 1440p settings, with Microsoft Flight Simulator being one of the main games. My current parts are a Ryzen 7 2700X, an ASUS ROG Strix B450-E motherboard, 16GB of DDR4 memory, and an XFX Radeon 9060 XT 16GB. I'd like to upgrade the processor to reduce CPU bottlenecks, but I want to stay on AM4 because DDR4 and newer-platform memory are currently expensive. My CPU budget is just under ₱15,000. What AM4 processor would be the best match for this graphics card, especially for Flight Simulator?

The Ryzen 5 5600 is a solid minimum upgrade, and the Ryzen 7 5700X is a good option if you need more cores. Either would be a noticeable improvement over the 2700X. For Flight Simulator, though, the extra 3D V-Cache on a 5700X3D or 5800X3D can make a much bigger difference if you can find one within budget.

A Ryzen 7 5700X3D would probably be the ideal target if you can find it under ₱15,000. It offers much of the gaming benefit of the 5800X3D while costing less, and it should handle both the graphics card and Flight Simulator well. If it’s still too expensive, choose a Ryzen 5 5600 or Ryzen 7 5700X instead.

Whichever processor you choose, update the motherboard BIOS before replacing the 2700X, since older B450 firmware may not support newer Ryzen 5000 chips. Also budget for a decent tower air cooler if your current cooler isn’t sufficient, especially for the X3D models.

The Ryzen 5 5500X3D is worth checking out if it’s available locally. It’s designed for gaming, performs better than standard 5600- or 5700-series chips in many games, and is slightly behind the 5800X3D while usually costing much less. It should be a good fit for a 9060 XT, especially if Flight Simulator is a priority.
