I'm currently using a GT 1030 and I'm looking to upgrade my GPU. I'm deciding between the RTX 3070 and the RX 6700 XT. My setup includes a Ryzen 5 5600 and a 700W PSU, and I mainly play games at 1080p or 1440p. Which GPU would you recommend based on these specs?

Go for the RTX 3070! It gives you access to DLSS, which really helps extend the lifespan of the GPU.

Totally! If your budget allows it, keep an eye out for a used 3080 or 3080 Ti. Those are still awesome performers!

But with the 3070, 8GB VRAM might not cut it for 1440p. I'd highly recommend considering a 10GB 3080 instead.

For sure, grab the 3070. You'll benefit from DLSS for future-proofing. You might also want to explore Lossless Scaling to boost graphics on AAAs, but keep in mind latency adjustments might be necessary.

I’d lean towards the RX 6700 XT for the 12GB VRAM. It’ll definitely help you with modern games in 1440p over the next few years!

I’ve got a similar build, and the 3070 works well, but I’ve noticed some texture pop-ins in more demanding games. Just a heads-up!

Just a heads up, the GT 1030 doesn't require power cables, so I wonder if your PSU is up to the task. Just something to think about if you run into issues!

DLSS is cool, but the 8GB on the 3070 is definitely going to limit you, especially down the line. If you can swing it, aim for a 10GB 3080 to avoid that shortfall.

If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck, the 5070 Ti is a solid pick. But if we’re sticking with your options, I’d still recommend the 3070.

What does the 5070 Ti even have to do with the original question?
