I'm looking to build a PC that will last me at least five years without needing any upgrades. This will be based on the UK market, and I've found some low prices for components. My current two options are: Option 1 with an Intel i5 14400f and an Intel Arc B580 (16GB DDR5) or Option 2 with a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and a 6750XT (32GB DDR4). I understand these are both considered 'dead' platforms, but my plan is to save up for a whole new build down the line instead of upgrading. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend going with the Ryzen 5 7600X and the RX 6750XT along with 32GB of DDR5 RAM instead of the Intel options you're considering. It gives you a good balance of performance and future-proofing.
Thanks for the advice! I didn't really consider going for mid-range options. I’ve now decided on the 9060XT and 9600X since I don’t need too many cores, and the Zen 5 architecture has better IPC. This seems ideal for me.
