I recently replaced the stock radiator fans on my AIO cooler with three RGB fans that are daisy-chained. According to the manual, I need two PWM connections for them due to the higher voltage and current needed. My motherboard only has CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT ports. The CPU_OPT is already occupied by the AIO pump, and I don't have a separate pump header. So, is it safe to connect the RGB radiator fans to a SATA-powered fan hub plugged into the CPU_FAN header, and then use the hub to handle the two PWM leads?

There's nothing specifically unsafe about connecting a PWM fan hub to your CPU_FAN port, but keep in mind that all the fans connected will run at the same speed percentage, not RPM. If you want more control over individual fan speeds, consider getting a fan controller that connects to a USB header and allows for software control.

Thanks for the tip! I'm also looking to add a separate fan hub for my case fans. Can I hook that hub up to a PWM sys_fan port on my motherboard? Would that work?
