I'm looking to upgrade my 16GB of RAM to 32GB due to the demanding applications I use for work. With RAM prices being extremely high and limited availability in my country, I can't find another two sticks from the same brand I originally purchased. I'm okay with running the RAM at 4800MHz; I just need the extra capacity for now, even if it affects gaming performance a bit.

Yes, you can mix brands! Just make sure they run at the same speed and voltage for the best results. If you're using DOCP/XMP profiles, you might want to disable them unless you're confident the new RAM is compatible. Even so, it’s wise to be aware that mixing can sometimes lead to instability under heavy loads.

I just need it to work for now, speed isn’t my priority. Selling isn’t a good option here since memory prices are high. I'm thinking of adding another 16GB stick; would that be okay?
