I'm wondering if I can set up and test my PC components directly on the motherboard without putting everything in the case first. Is it possible to connect it to a TV just to check if the parts are functioning properly?

You can test your parts outside, but it’s usually safer to screw the motherboard into the case. Quick tests are cool, but if you’re poking around to hit the power switch pins, it could lead to accidental damage. Just run your cables from the power supply outside the case for easy access if you decide to go that route!
Yeah, you can definitely set everything up outside of the case! Just make sure to place the motherboard on something non-conductive like the box it came in to prevent any damage. It's a quick way to see if everything powers on!
Do you need to have Windows installed to boot up or is it fine without it?
Correct, you can test without Windows, just ensure that your BIOS is accessible!
