I'm planning to swap an M.2 NVMe drive from my laptop to a new PC, but I'm running into issues. When I try to boot, I get an error saying "Inaccessible Boot Device 0x7B." The drive has Windows 11 installed along with some office programs and invoicing software that I really need. I'd like to know if I can just split the drive into two partitions—one for the old Windows 11 and necessary programs, and another for free space where I can install Windows 11 on the new PC. After that, I would delete the old Windows installation but keep my programs intact. Is this a feasible plan? Has anyone attempted this before?

Be very careful with data during this process! My advice is to back up all your files first. Follow the 321 backup rule, especially for important documents. You should create a Windows 11 installation USB drive. Once you've moved the M.2 to the new PC, boot from the USB and select the repair option first. If that doesn't work, you might need to do a clean install, but that will wipe everything. It's better to have a backup just in case. Check out this video for more details on clean installations!

Thanks, I’ll make sure to back everything up first. If the clean install happens, it’ll definitely take some time to reinstall everything, but I get it now!
