I'm considering using AWS Workspaces for personal projects and I want to know if it's possible to sign up, create a virtual machine (VM) for a month, and then delete it so I won't be billed for the following month. I only need a VM every couple of months, and I want to ensure I won't incur recurring charges. Is this a feasible option if I delete the VM after I'm done using it for that month?

If you set up a Workspace in Personal mode with AutoStop, you'll be billed by the hour plus a lower monthly fee, and it will save the state for your next startup. This could be the most cost-effective option unless you need the workspace running 24/7 for an entire month. Just keep in mind that deleting it after a couple of weeks might still lead to some charges next month.
It might be worth creating a new account once your free tier expires every 365 days. This way, you can take full advantage of the free tier for as long as possible before paying for any services. AWS offers a free tier for Workspaces that could align with your usage perfectly.
