Can I Use Old Drives in My New PC Build?

I'm upgrading my computer and currently have a few HDDs and an SSD from my old setup that's about 10 years old. I'm thinking about getting a new drive to boot Windows from and just reusing the old drives for extra storage. Is this a smart move, or should I invest in brand new drives instead?

Using your old drives as extra storage is perfectly fine as long as they’re in good shape. Just make sure they aren’t nearing the end of their life—if they’re working well and you’re not saving anything super critical on them, go for it! It'll definitely save you some cash.

Just a quick follow-up: since my SSD is the current boot drive, will there be any issues when I use the new drive as a boot drive with all the drives connected?
