I'm considering using my AMD 9700X CPU for light gaming, like Balatro, Turmoil, and a few strategy games. I'm still saving up for a dedicated GPU, but I want to see how my build performs in the meantime. I've been holding off for a while, and I'm really eager to give it a try!

I don’t get why you need approval to just try it out. The 9700X has good integrated graphics, so go ahead and test it out yourself!
Why not just dive in and see? Play around with your settings and let us know how it works out. It’s all about giving it a go!
Yeah, it's an AMD, so it should handle those games just fine.
No need to worry! The 9700X is a solid CPU that can handle light gaming just fine. Worst case, the games won't run perfectly, but you'll still have fun experimenting. If you want, consider using GeForce Now while waiting for your GPU too!
Thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate the tips!
Definitely! It’s a good way to get some gaming in while you save.
Absolutely! You can definitely build your PC and use the integrated graphics for now. Once you can afford a dedicated GPU, you'll notice a big difference in performance. Just give it a shot!
Exactly! I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with what the CPU can do.
