Can Rabbit Urine Corrode Electronics?

I had a friend come over to visit my bunny, who lives in a big cage in my room. He mentioned that I shouldn't keep my rabbit there because even if she doesn't pee directly on my electronic devices, the ammonia from her pee could corrode them, like my laptop and modem. I ended up moving her to another room, but now I feel guilty. Is what he said really true?

Yes, ammonia can cause corrosion, but it typically takes a lot of exposure over time. Just keeping a rabbit in the same room shouldn't be a major issue as long as you keep everything clean and ventilated.

I found this article that explains ammonia odors and their effects on rabbits. Keeping their area clean and ensuring good airflow can really help prevent any problems. You might want to look into an air purifier too!

Thanks for the tip! I clean my room regularly but I want to be extra sure about my rabbit's health and my devices.
