Can You Help Me Choose a New PC for My Dad?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to get my dad a new PC since he's been using a really old Dell for the past 8 years, and it's super slow. He's a doctor, and his work involves managing a lot of files and opening many tabs at once, which just drags down performance. I found a prebuilt PC for about $1200 with these specs: a Gigabyte B860 EAGLE WIFI6E motherboard, Intel i5 14400f processor, 32GB of Kingston DDR5 RAM, a 2TB Kingston NVMe SSD, and a 3050 GPU (which I could sell to lower the cost). I also noticed a similar PC with a Ryzen 7 9700X and a 5060 GPU for about $1450. Would either of these be good options, or is there a better office PC out there? I'd really appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!

I’d recommend going with a pre-built from Dell or HP; they offer solid performance for what your dad needs without breaking the bank. An NVMe drive will really speed things up for him, and try to get one with at least 16GB of RAM for multitasking with all those files and tabs.

Do you really think more than 16GB of RAM is necessary just for medical paperwork and PDFs?
