I'm relatively familiar with Linux and know my way around the command line. I can install Arch, but I'm struggling to decide which distribution to stick with. I feel overwhelmed and would appreciate any insight or recommendations. Are there specific desktop environments I should consider, or do you have suggestions for distros that are more user-friendly? Thanks!

Ultimately, the best distro depends on your personal preferences. Linux Mint is great for ease of use, especially if you’re used to Windows. Just try a few out until you find your favorite!

I recommend checking out EndeavourOS if you're into Arch-based systems. It's light and has a great GUI installer. If you want something that just works, consider popular ones like Mint, Ubuntu, or Fedora. For desktop environment, KDE and GNOME are both robust options.

Go for what grabs your attention the most! Every person has unique needs, so trying out different distros can help you find the one that fits you best. Just experiment a little and see what works.

I’ve had good experiences with Debian KDE on my laptop—easy to maintain and less hassle than Arch. It's stable and a breeze to set up. Mint is another classic choice that never disappoints.

Fedora Workstation with KDE or Linux Mint with Cinnamon are both solid options. They offer good stability and a user-friendly experience, which I think you’d appreciate, no matter your level of expertise.
