Did I make a mistake accepting the Samsung T7 SSD license agreement on my Mac?

I just got my first SSD, the Samsung T7, and I'm a bit confused about what to do with it. I installed the Samsung software on my Mac using the link provided, but then I read online that I should have just used Disk Utility to format the drive instead. I'm worried that I might have messed up by accepting the license agreement and that Samsung could somehow 'brick' my SSD in the future. I only plan to use this SSD with my Mac and haven't allowed any of their system extensions. Plus, the Samsung software doesn't even recognize the SSD, even though my Mac does. Can anyone guide me on what steps I should take?

No need for panic! The license agreement won't affect how you use your SSD on your Mac. You can remove the Samsung software if you prefer. Just format the drive to your liking, and enjoy using your SSD without worry!

Honestly, you don't need to worry too much about the Samsung software; it's pretty unnecessary for basic use. If you want to format your SSD for use solely on your Mac, just go with Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or APFS. Just remember, if you want to use it with older Macs, skip APFS. Samsung isn't out to mess with your drive or data, so chill!

You're good! Just treat your SSD like any external drive. Make sure to format it appropriately for your Mac setup, and don't sweat the license agreement too much. Samsung's not going to 'meddle' with your device if you decide to uninstall their software.

Thanks for the reassurance! So just to clarify, if I uninstall the software, I should still be fine?
