I'm in a bit of a bind and hope someone can help me. I have a B450M Steel Legend motherboard and was previously using a single stick of Asgard 8GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM. Today, I decided to upgrade to two new Corsair Vengeance LPX sticks (2x16GB, also DDR4 3600MHz). I installed them in the second and fourth slots (A2 and B2), but now my PC powers on without any display. It stays on for about 40 seconds, then starts a loop of turning off and on. I tried putting my old RAM back in, but I'm still facing the same issue: no display and the same on/off cycle. Did I mess something up? I'm really unsure what to do next. 😢

If that doesn't help, try removing the RAM completely and clearing the CMOS, then reinstall the RAM. If it still doesn't work, you might want to consider returning the Corsair RAM and trying a different brand.
It sounds like it could just be doing memory training. Sometimes, when you install new RAM, the motherboard needs to do a bit of processing to recognize it. Just walk away for a little while and see if it sorts itself out!
Yep! This is likely what's happening. It can be a bit concerning, especially if you're not familiar with it. Just give it some time and let it do its thing.
Should I leave both sticks in during this memory training, or just one? I want to make sure I’m following the right steps.
How do I clear the CMOS?
