Hey everyone, I've built a new PC, but it's completely dead with no lights on. I noticed that my modular PSU has a 24 pin cable for the motherboard, but there's also a separate 5x5 pin cable included with it. Should I connect this 5 pin cable to the power supply where it's labeled for the motherboard? Thanks for any advice!

Yes, you definitely need to plug that 5 pin cable in. It's essential for providing additional power to the motherboard.

Just to clarify, it's a SuperFlower 80 Plus PSU I’m using. I appreciate any help you can offer!

To your question about the 5 pin cable: Yes, you should connect it. I know it can get confusing, especially for first-timers! Just plugging in that cable made my build come to life! This kind of information isn't always clear in the manuals, so don’t worry about it!

Thanks so much for this info! I was worried I messed something up, but plugging it in has my build working now!
