Does This PC Build Look Good for Gaming and Work?

Hey everyone! I'm finally at a point where I can build my dream PC after gaming on laptops for ages. Since I've never done this before, I've been watching tons of videos and even got some help from ChatGPT for a build. I'm reaching out to you all to get your thoughts and feedback on my setup.

I plan to use this rig for both work and gaming over the next 4-5 years. For work, I mainly do browser-based stuff, so no heavy coding or video editing. For gaming, I want to play titles like Cyberpunk, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Hell Let Loose on high/ultra settings. I'm also thinking ahead to possibly dabble with local AI models later on.

I want the build to be as quiet as possible, steering clear of any flashy RGB lights, which is why I chose Noctua for cooling. Here's what I have in mind:
- **Case:** Fractal North XL (black) with Noctua fans capped at ~1000 RPM for quiet operation.
- **CPU:** Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- **Motherboard:** X870 with Wi-Fi 7 (Gigabyte X870 Gaming X / AORUS Elite WIFI7)
- **RAM:** 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 (EXPO)
- **Storage:** 2TB 990 PRO (with plans for another in the future)
- **Cooler:** Noctua NH-D15 chromax
- **PSU:** Corsair RM1000x SHIFT (ATX 3.1)
- **GPU:** RTX 5080 16GB
- **Monitor:** BENQ Mobiuz EX321UX (I prefer Mini LED over OLED to avoid potential babysitting).

What do you think? Any suggestions or changes? Thanks!

I think you're on the right track, but I’d suggest swapping out the X870 motherboard. It's not necessary and in some cases, it could underperform compared to a B850 motherboard for gaming. Also, the RTX 5080 might not be worth it for your needs since it's only marginally better than the 5070 Ti but costs a lot more. I’d recommend going with the 5070 Ti instead!

I appreciate the feedback! I checked and it looks like the 5070 Ti can overclock to match the 5080, plus it's cheaper here. I think I'll definitely go for the B850 mobo as well. Thanks a lot!
