Hey everyone, I just had my second round of technical interviews for a senior software engineering position at a startup and something totally unexpected happened. After feeling super confident from the first round, I completely froze up when they asked me to solve a basic problem about merging arrays. It was so embarrassing! Once the interview was over, I quickly figured out the solution and tested it all out, but I felt really ashamed after practicing so much. I've done a lot of interviews before, even challenging ones, and never had this kind of experience. Has anyone else faced something similar?

Yeah, it happens! Sometimes interviews just freeze us up, no matter how much we practice. Just remember, you're definitely not alone in this!
If it helps, I have a CS degree and over ten years in the industry, and I still freak out during interviews! Honestly, a lot of this interview process seems silly, so don't stress too much about it. Just keep practicing, and you'll get better with time.
That's comforting to know! It can be really nerve-wracking.
