I've been using my current PC build for a while and made several hardware upgrades throughout the years. It used to run great, but lately, I've been experiencing terrible stutters, jitters, and skips while playing games like CS2 and Marvel Rivals. I've noticed that the longer the matches go on, my FPS gets worse. I've updated all my drivers and even tried rolling back to older versions, but nothing worked. I even hired someone from Fiverr to do a remote check on my PC, and all diagnostics came back clear. The technician suggested that my RAM might be the problem, but I suspect there might be a software issue. I recently ran a Heaven benchmark test and scored 4415 at 1440p with max settings, but noticed my minimum FPS hit as low as 9... is that normal? Any guidance would be appreciated!

It sounds like there might be a problem if you're mixing a high-end GPU with RAM capacity that's lower than its VRAM. You could try upgrading your motherboard and RAM to see if that resolves the issues; hopefully, it's just a hardware fix!
I’m running Windows 11 with an RTX 4080, a Ryzen 7 5800x, and 16GB of RAM. I also have a 1Gbps internet connection via Ethernet. Just sharing in case it helps others understand the specs.
Have you tried switching between fullscreen and windowed fullscreen in your games? Sometimes that can affect performance.
I usually stick to fullscreen, but I'll test windowed fullscreen now and see if it makes a difference!
Let me know how it goes! I’ve noticed some games run smoother in windowed mode.
Unigine Heaven is kinda outdated. You should try using a more recent benchmark tool like TimeSpy. It will give you a comparison chart showing how your performance stacks up against other systems with similar hardware.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’m definitely not the most tech-savvy, so I appreciate the advice. I’ll check it out!
That’s what I’m hoping for! I’ve had the GPU for a year without problems, but it’s frustrating now. I guess I’ll look into upgrading.
