Experiencing Rapid Battery Drain After Update

I've noticed that my phone's battery seems to be draining really quickly after updating to iOS 26.2 on Saturday night. Battery health appears to be normal, but I could only listen to music for about an hour before it dropped to 5%. My phone then died, but when I turned it back on, it showed a full charge. It died again just 30 seconds later! When I plugged it in to charge, it immediately powered on and showed 67%. I'm wondering if I should take it to Apple for a check-up, or if I should wait a few days for the update to settle down?

What model iPhone are you using? Also, check what your battery's maximum capacity percentage is. If it's below 80%, that might explain the rapid drain.

I'm experiencing the same problem! My battery is draining really fast and the charging seems slow as well. This update might have some bugs affecting certain models.

It sounds like you might be dealing with calibration issues or possibly temperature affecting the battery. Sometimes, the battery can misreport its charge levels if it's not calibrated correctly. It's also possible that this is unrelated to the update, like a malfunctioning battery or a hardware issue, such as a tristar chip problem. Hang tight for a couple of days and see if it gets better, but keep an eye on it just in case!
