I've recently encountered problems with my new Panasonic Z95B television. It has malfunctioned twice in a row in exactly the same manner, both with the original unit and the replacement they sent me. When I plug the TV in, it doesn't respond at all and displays a quick flash of vertical colored lines across the middle of the screen for about a second. This happens consistently every time I plug it in, with the vertical lines appearing after about a second, then again after 16 seconds, and a quick flash about two seconds later. Additionally, a clicking noise occurs each time the lines appear, and the power light continuously flashes green. The boxes for both TVs were in perfect condition on the outside, so I'm unsure if I should request another replacement, as it seems there might be a defect with this batch. I'm going to include a picture of the vertical lines in the comments if that's helpful!

That's frustrating! There's a chance the store sent you another faulty unit mistakenly. It might be worth asking for a different model or checking if others are experiencing similar issues with that specific batch before requesting another replacement.
From what you've described and the image you shared, those lines could indicate some physical damage or a severe internal fault. If you've received two defective units in a row, I'd definitely raise the concern with the retailer and see if they can provide a different model or a different batch entirely.
