First Time Building My Own PC—Need Compatibility Help!

I've only ever used laptops and gaming laptops, so this is my first attempt at building a PC from scratch. I'm looking for feedback on my selected parts. According to the parts list on PCPartPicker, the total is estimated at about $2423.86, but with some deals and the fact that I already have all the storage drives, I can get it down to around $1,684.80. What do you think? Are these parts compatible?

Your setup will run games without issue, but there are a few things to consider. If you're using three M.2 drives, keep in mind that one of the bays is linked to the chipset, which can be slower. It might be best to use that one for media storage instead of for performance-critical applications. Additionally, consider a 280mm radiator if you plan to overclock your 9800X3D, but check if your case supports that. Also, for just a bit more, you could upgrade to a Gigabyte B850 Ai Top motherboard, which has dual GPU support if you ever want to expand later on.

I was thinking of using the 128GB M.2 just for storing clips and recordings, not running any apps. Would that still affect performance? As for the motherboard, it was part of a bundle deal. I had the choice between a $680 bundle with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and a Gigabyte B850 Gaming X or a $700 bundle with a 9850X3D and an ASUS X870-P Prime. The CPU seems like a better deal, but is the motherboard worth the extra cash?

Your build looks solid! I recommend opting for an 850W power supply for some extra upgrade headroom. Also, you mentioned spending over $300 on a 1TB SSD, which seems steep. I've seen cheaper options that are faster, so check those out if you can.

I actually have a 1TB SSD from an old laptop, so I'm not paying for that. I'll definitely take your advice and upgrade the PSU. Thanks!
