Framerate Drops During Gaming on My Laptop—What Can I Do?

I'm having major framerate issues with my HP Victus laptop while gaming. It has an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 4GB Radeon 6500M GPU, and a 512GB SSD. The problem is that whenever I download a game, it usually runs smoothly for the first couple of days. After that, I start experiencing sudden lag spikes and framerate drops. It seems to work fine for about a minute, then I get these massive lag spikes that last for around three seconds. I'm confused about what's causing this issue and I'm looking for solutions to fix it. Any ideas?

It sounds like a combination of RAM and SSD space could be causing your issues. Even if your specs seem fine on paper, running low on RAM or having your SSD nearly full can lead to those sudden lag spikes. You might want to check how much of your SSD is free and consider closing unnecessary background applications to free up RAM while gaming. Also, make sure your drivers are up to date since they can impact performance heavily.

I noticed similar problems too! Upgrading my RAM really helped keep my games running smoothly without those lag spikes. Just a thought!
