I've built a new PC and I'm experiencing some serious visual lag issues. The framerate drops to about 1 frame every 2-3 seconds, which is pretty frustrating. This happens randomly while I'm using the PC, often when browsing the web, and it can last anywhere from a few minutes to hours. I'm in Windows 11 and my setup includes an AMD Ryzen 9600x CPU, an Nvidia RTX 5060 ti GPU, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, and a couple of WD Black NVME 2TB drives. I've ruled out temperature issues, as my CPU and GPU temps are fine during these drops. I've tried a lot of potential fixes, like restarting the PC and monitor, updating drivers, and changing settings, but nothing seems to help for long. I'm hoping to find guidance from someone with experience in these kinds of issues. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your GPU might be the main culprit here. I suggest running a stress test using Furmark to check for any power or grounding issues. If that goes smoothly and you still see lags, it could stem from Chrome. Check if it's updated and look for any stalled processes by pressing Shift + Esc in Chrome to see what's eating up your resources. If you're running it in efficiency mode, try disabling that as it can affect performance too.
And definitely turn off that efficiency mode! It can really hinder performance. Just right-click the Chrome process in Task Manager.
Have you tried checking your system's power settings? Sometimes, weird lag issues can crop up from incorrect power configurations, especially if your PC is set to perform optimally at lower power. Switching the power plan to 'High Performance' might also help reduce these lags.

Got it! I’ll run Furmark and check Chrome for any stuck processes. Thanks for the tip!
