My friend is having trouble updating his NVIDIA drivers to version 576.28. He's tried uninstalling and reinstalling the NVIDIA application and running it as an admin, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions on how he can fix this?

Have him try using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove the existing drivers. Sometimes leftover files can cause issues during installation. After that, he can give the 576.28 update another shot.
It's important for us to know what kind of errors he’s seeing, along with his hardware specs. Without that info, it’s tough to help him out effectively!
He can try running the installer from the command prompt. Here’s a simple command he can use: go to the installer directory and type `setup.exe -log:"C:NVlog" -loglevel:6`. After the installation fails, he can check the log file in C:nvlog for more details on what went wrong.
He mentioned he gets a specific error message but we’re in different time zones, so I can’t check it directly. I'll ask him to send me a screenshot!
