So, here's the situation: I accidentally ripped off one of the internal WiFi antennas from my HP Laptop 15-bs0xx, and now my internet is painfully slow. It still connects, but it's really laggy. Unfortunately, I'm not at home and don't have an ethernet cable. Does anyone have any temporary fixes that could help me out? Thanks!

If it's an external antenna, you might be able to boost the signal through your device manager. Just check the signal settings for your WiFi and crank up the strength to the max!

That’s a good point, but unfortunately it’s definitely an internal antenna that got damaged.

You know, I had a similar issue once, and I just swapped the Bluetooth and WiFi antennas on the card. It worked like a charm! That's worth trying if you feel comfortable doing that!

OMG, I actually just did that and it totally worked! Thanks for the tip!

Honestly, if you really need stable internet right now, there's a quick fix—just grab a USB WiFi adapter from a nearby shop. It's an easy solution if you can find one!

I managed to find a temporary fix using USB tethering with my phone.

Could you clarify how exactly you ripped it off? I’m not sure how that happened. Is the antenna internal?

Yeah, it is internal! I have a halftop system, and the antennas were outside the laptop. When I lifted it one time, it got caught on my toe and snapped off!
