I'm in a bit of a bind here. I usually keep all my passwords in the Notes app, but recently, I tried to delete an account on an app linked to my Apple account and realized I couldn't access the email for my Apple ID because the password seems wrong. When I try to reset the password, it asks for my phone number linked to my old device, which is now used by my mom with her own Apple ID. I've tried using her phone password, but that doesn't work either. The only thing I can access is my accounts through Face ID, but my password is lost somewhere, even in my password app. I really don't know what to do next!

You should definitely try the 'forgot password' option again. Use the phone number linked to your old device, and when it asks if you have access, select that you don’t. This way, you can provide alternative contact information.
Good tip! Just make sure to scroll down on the page to find the little blue options like ‘don’t have passcode’ or ‘didn’t get code.’ They can help you bypass some of the hoops.
I tried my mom's number, but it said it was wrong. Now it looks like I'm stuck with account recovery.
