Hi everyone, I'm having a tough time accessing my Dell XPS 13 running Windows 11. I just graduated high school and my school email, which was linked to my computer, has been disabled. Now I'm unable to log in because my password isn't working anymore. I can see my account on the login screen, but I can't get in. I still have access to the email through my phone, so I know it's not completely gone. I really don't know what to do and I'm worried that this school account linkage has made my computer unusable. Any advice?

It sounds like your school account might be no longer accessible. Do you have any other user accounts on your laptop that could help you log in?
I recommend taking it to your school's IT department. They can unlink your account from theirs, which should hopefully help you regain access.
If possible, try logging in with a local admin account. If you don't have one, you could use a PE boot device to change the password offline.
One option is to create a bootable USB drive with Windows 11. You can reinstall Windows without wiping your disk first—this way, you can potentially recover your files to another location. Then, you can wipe it completely and do a fresh install. Just be sure to run updates after reinstalling!
Thanks, that sounds like something I might try. Just to add, this laptop was actually a gift from my parents for school, so I've had it all along.
