Help Me Choose: Upgrade CPU or GPU for Better Performance?

I'm trying to decide between two upgrades to boost my PC's performance. Right now, I can either get the 7500X3D CPU with a B850 motherboard and 32GB of DDR5 RAM or the 9070 XT graphics card. My current setup isn't delivering the performance I need, especially for games like Space Marine 2 and Borderlands 4. I typically game at 1080p, so which upgrade would yield a better performance increase?

You should definitely go for the platform upgrade with the 7500X3D and B850. If you're gaming at 1080p, a good CPU can really help boost your framerate, especially with your current GPU. The 3060 Ti should handle things pretty well for now. Just remember, if you ever plan on stepping up to 1440p, then the 9070 XT will be worth it later on!

I totally agree! If you're only at 1080p, the X3D will give you a noticeable improvement in your games while the GPU can wait a bit.

It really depends on what games you're playing and at what resolution. For your current games like Space Marine 2 at 1080p, upgrading your GPU to the 9070 XT might give you a more immediate performance boost. But keep in mind that you’ll want to upgrade your CPU eventually too for better overall performance. If you can find a good deal on a used 5700X3D, that could be a great combo down the road!

Yeah, I'm mostly focused on 1080p and I just want the smoothest experience possible for those games.
