Hey everyone! I recently bought a 9070XT graphics card, but I'm having some major trouble getting it recognized by my PC. The graphics card has power (the fans are spinning), but it doesn't show an image unless I either pull the GPU out and put it back in, or if I boot with the display plugged into the motherboard, turn off the PC, and then switch to the GPU. Here are some things I've already tried:
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for both the motherboard and GPU using DDU in safe mode. Both the Gigabyte Control Center and AMD Adrenaline say everything is up to date.
- Reseating the CPU and cooler with fresh thermal paste and checking all other components.
- Resetting the motherboard to default settings.
- Turning off fast boot in the BIOS.
Any tips or insights would be super helpful, as I'm at a bit of a loss here. Thanks a ton!

That sounds crazy, I'm going a similar issue, I can't believe that even the board's official software won't update to the latest bios. I found a newer version on their website and now booting to flash it
It sounds like you’ve tried a lot already, but also check that all your cables are seated correctly. Sometimes the simplest fixes work wonders. Have you done a full wipe of your GPU drivers with DDU? That can clear out any conflicts you might not be aware of.
What motherboard are you using? It’s really important to make sure it's up to date too. Sometimes, certain boards have priority issues with PCIe slots, so if you can, try a different one. Just to clarify, is your 9070XT an Nvidia card? Because I noticed you mentioned AMD Adrenaline. If it's an Nvidia card, you might want to check your drivers again.
Sounds like a frustrating issue! Since you're dealing with a 9070XT, I recommend checking a couple of things in your BIOS. Try enabling Above 4G Decoding and Resize BAR, as those are crucial for AMD GPUs. Also, consider disabling CSM (Compatibility Support Module) since it can mess with GPU detection sometimes. If you haven't already, make sure you're using two separate PCIe power cables—not daisy-chained—as that can cause issues too. Finally, check if you can update your motherboard BIOS, as newer versions often fix compatibility problems. Good luck!
I had the same issue, and doing all that really helped my setup! Definitely give it a shot.

The 9070XT is definitely an AMD card! Made sure of that.
