I recently bought a used ASUS Prime A320M-K motherboard along with an RX580 XFX graphics card. Previously, I was using a DELL OptiPlex 5055, which has very limited upgrade options due to its non-standard motherboard. My OptiPlex was running a Ryzen 5 2400G PRO CPU. When I initially transferred the CPU to the new A320M board and connected a display via VGA (since my GPU hadn't arrived yet), I didn't get any display or system POST. I also used the 8GB RAM from the DELL, which runs at 1200MHz.
Once the RX580 arrived, I reinstalled everything: CPU, RAM (trying both slots), and the GPU. With a new 650W Gigabyte PSU, the motherboard lights came on (orange), and all fans spun up correctly. The board heated up as well, so I know power is reaching it. I connected the display via DisplayPort to the GPU this time, but again, there was no display. I've also reset the CMOS. I'm wondering if this is due to an outdated or corrupted BIOS or if the motherboard just doesn't support the CPU. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like it might be an issue with the BIOS being too old. Is there any chance you could update it? If you still have your DELL computer, it would be great to check if the CPU and RAM are still running smoothly there. That way, you'd know for sure if they’re the problem or if it lies with the A320M board.
Have you tried moving the RAM to different slots? Sometimes the motherboard just needs that little nudge. Also, after resetting the CMOS, make sure you unplug the battery and the PSU for about 10 minutes before plugging it back in. That might help!

I don't think I can update the BIOS right now since I lack another compatible CPU for that. I did test both the CPU and RAM in my DELL, and they worked perfectly, booting right into Windows!
