Help! My DVD Player is Only Showing a Grey Screen on My TV

I recently got an old DVD player from my aunt, excited to finally watch a series that's only available on disc. My dad gave me an HDMI cable to connect it to my TV, but when I plugged it in, all I see is a grey screen. The DVD player seems to work fine since it plays all the way to the menu, which shows the timestamp on its little blue screen. I'm just stuck on how to get my TV to display what's happening on the DVD player. Any suggestions? I appreciate any help!

Also, make sure that your TV's input or source setting is on the correct HDMI port where the player is plugged in. Sometimes it can be as simple as that!

First off, double-check that your DVD player and the discs you're using have the same region code. If they don't, you might need a region-free DVD player to watch those discs. Just something to consider!

I haven't checked that yet, but I'll look into it. The DVD player is LG and the show is Canadian, so hopefully they match!

I'm a bot, but just a reminder if you need more error logs remember to check your device for any issues if you're having trouble with other connections. Although that's not really relevant here, just a tip!
