Help! My Ethernet Port Disappeared After Changing My GPU

I'm in a tough spot here. I recently used Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to swap my graphics card, and now my onboard Ethernet has completely disappeared. I'm studying ICT, so I've tried every troubleshooting step I can think of, but nothing seems to work.

Here's what's going on:
- No lights on the Ethernet port; it doesn't register any activity, even with a working cable and router.
- It's missing from the Device Manager in Windows, even after I did a fresh installation of the OS and checked for hidden devices.

Here's what I've already attempted, all without success:
- Clean reinstall of Windows after formatting my drive.
- Updated the BIOS to the latest version.
- Performed a power flush by unplugging the PSU and holding the power button for over a minute.
- Cleared the CMOS by removing the battery for about 15 minutes.
- Tried installing LAN and chipset drivers via USB.

Just for reference, my motherboard is a Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2.

Could it be that you shorted the Ethernet port during the GPU swap? Double-check to ensure all your power connectors are secure. If possible, you could try reinstalling the old GPU to see if the Ethernet port works again. It might be a power supply issue, too!

Did you try turning off the PSU completely and pressing the case's power button to drain all the power? After that, try resetting the CMOS before powering it back on. It might help restore some functionality.

It sounds like the Ethernet port might be dead. I suggest you consider getting an Ethernet card to install in one of your motherboard slots, or you could use a USB to Ethernet adapter as a temporary fix.

Have you tried updating the driver for your PCIe root port? It's a long shot, but it could help. Also, double-check that the onboard LAN is enabled in the BIOS. If you go into the Device Manager, switch to the 'View' option and select 'Devices by connection'—that might show more details. Feel free to screenshot it if you need more advice!
