Help! My M.2 Drive Disappeared After Formatting During Windows 11 Installation

I need some urgent help! I ran into an issue while installing Windows 11. During the installation, I was asked to choose the disk for installation, which went smoothly until I clicked on my M.2 drive and chose to format its partition. After doing that, it suddenly disappeared from the selection menu. Now, when I try to restart the installation process, the disk isn't showing up at all, neither in Disk Management nor in the BIOS settings. I even tried changing the port but that didn't work. Any ideas on what I can do?

Is your setup an Intel laptop? Sometimes, compatibility issues can arise based on the manufacturer. If you provide more info on your system, we might be able to find a more tailored solution.

First things first, have you tried testing the M.2 port with a different SSD? If you have one lying around, that could help you determine whether the issue is with the drive itself or the port. Also, try connecting the SSD to another computer if you can.

To be honest, I'm worried you might have a dead SSD on your hands. If it doesn't show up even after formatting, that's not a good sign. Your best bet right now might be to try it in another system and see if it gets recognized again. If not, you might want to start considering replacement options.
