I recently encountered a serious issue with my gaming PC where it black screened in the middle of a game. My motherboard is showing error code 00, and while all the case fans are spinning at full speed, the CPU fans aren't turning on at all. Now, my PC won't boot up, and the power button seems unresponsive after I turn on the power. Here's my setup:
- CPU: 9800x3D
- GPU: Asus TUF 4090
- Motherboard: Rog Strix x870e
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16) 6000MHz
- PSU: Corsair HX1200i
- Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB
I've already taken everything apart, reseated the RAM, CPU, GPU, and SSD, and checked all power connections, but everything seems to be in order. I'm really worried—could my four-month-old 9800x3D be dead, or is this more likely a motherboard issue? Any help would be appreciated!

Error code 00 usually points to a CPU issue. You might want to double-check the exact motherboard model you have. Have you tried resetting the BIOS by clearing the CMOS? Also, updating the BIOS could help, especially since some boards have had reported issues. Thankfully, if it is a hardware failure, it should be covered under warranty.
I see you have the Rog Strix x870e-e WiFi. Good choice! So, you cleared the CMOS, which seems to have made your CPU cooler fans work again, but you’re still stuck at code 00? That definitely indicates something’s off. Since your BIOS was updated recently and everything was working fine until now, it could still be an issue with the motherboard itself. Fingers crossed it's not a dead CPU!
