A few weeks ago, I noticed that my iMessage started malfunctioning on my iPhone. Despite checking all the usual settings and confirming that iMessage is activated and my number is selected, my messages now only send as SMS or RCS. I reached out to Apple Support several times, only to find out from a Senior Advisor that my phone number has been flagged as spam and is now blacklisted from iMessage. This is shocking to me since I've had this number for over a decade and don't send spam messages. The only issue I can think of is from a stalker who impersonated me and reported my accounts last year, which he faced legal consequences for. When I asked how to appeal this decision, I was told there's no process available. I'm left completely locked out of iMessage and FaceTime using my number, which I rely on for work, including two-factor authentication. Changing my number isn't an option. Has anyone experienced something similar or know how to escalate this issue further?

Honestly, Apple doesn’t just mark accounts as spam without a reason. There has to be something that triggered this, even if it seems unfair.
