I'm having a frustrating issue with my brand new Xbox Series X controller connecting via Bluetooth to an ASUS BT500 adapter, which I have plugged into a USB 2.0 extension cable. Despite the fact that I just got the controller and the batteries are fully charged, it keeps disconnecting out of the blue. This problem began with my older Xbox controller and a really old Bluetooth adapter. I thought replacing the adapter would solve it, but it didn't. I got the new controller thinking it would help, but it hasn't solved the problem either! It's driving me nuts! Just to note, my Bluetooth earbuds connect fine without any problems. Oh, and I'm running Windows 11 24H2.

Have you tried using the controller without the USB extension cable? Sometimes those can cause connectivity issues due to interference. I know it’s a hassle, but it might be worth checking if that helps.
I can't really do that since plugging the adapter straight into my PC causes a lot of interference, making it unstable. I don't have another extension cable to test either.
