Hey everyone, I upgraded my PC last month and since the beginning of June, I've been experiencing random Blue Screens of Death (BSOD) with the error code "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". I've tried updating my drivers—there was one missing, but even after that, the issue persists. I've also scanned the RAM, and no hardware problems were detected. The crashes happen out of the blue, even when I'm not doing anything intensive. I attempted to use Bluescreenview to figure things out, but I'm honestly confused about what it all means. I read online that this could be related to unauthorized memory usage, but I'm not sure how to fix it without doing a complete wipe, which I'd rather avoid. I also have the DMP error files if that helps!

To get more insight into your BSOD issues, you’ll need to find and upload your dump files. These files are crucial crash logs generated during BSOD events and can help diagnose the problem. If you can boot into Windows, check for dump files in C:WindowsMinidump. Zip that folder and upload it to a file-sharing site like catbox.moe or mediafire. If you only have one file, that’s fine, but try to gather more if you can. It’s also worthwhile to change the dump type to Small Memory Dump if you haven’t already, which ensures you get the right data every time.
First off, if there are no issues in your BIOS settings while you navigate, that's a good sign! I'd recommend updating your motherboard BIOS to the latest version from the manufacturer’s site. After that, make sure you install the appropriate AMD Chipset Drivers. Just grab the Chipset Driver installer from AMD’s site, as the others can give some users headaches. After these updates, keep an eye on whether the crashes continue.
Thanks for the advice! My BIOS is from 2020, so updating it could help. Is it risky to go with the latest version, or should I consider a previous one?
Got it! I’ll check that folder and see what I can find. Thanks for the tip!
