Help! Windows 11 Updates Keep Breaking My Laptop

I'm having some serious issues with my Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5 after I updated to Windows 11 version 23H2. Every time I try to update, my laptop ends up stuck in a restart loop and eventually shows a blue screen saying Windows wasn't installed correctly. I've gone back and uninstalled the updates to get it working again, but it's frustrating because the update reminders keep popping up, pushing me to try again. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I could really use some help with this. Just for context, I experienced a similar issue with a previous update that resulted in needing hardware replacement after a restart led to complete failure. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Honestly, if you have repeated issues like this, consider if it's worth dealing with Windows updates or if maybe shifting to a different OS might work better for your needs. I've heard some people saying a Mac could be the way to go!

If you want to buy me one, I’ll accept it! But seriously, I need Windows for certain tasks, so I'm kind of stuck with it for now.

It sounds like you're dealing with some frustrating update issues! First, make sure you back up any important data before doing anything else, just in case. For a more accurate diagnosis of the blue screen (BSOD), you might try to access your dump files. If you can boot into Windows or Safe Mode, check C:WindowsMinidump for any files there. Zipping them up and uploading to a file-sharing site could help others look into the problem more effectively. If you don't see any files, you might want to follow a guide to change how your system creates these dump files. It can really help narrow down the issue!

Yeah, definitely don't skip the backups! And following those guides can really shed some light on what's going wrong. Good luck!
