Hey everyone! I just got back from a 10-day vacation and tried to install some new NVIDIA drivers on my PC. However, during the installation, my computer froze completely for about 20 minutes, so I had to power it off manually. Now, when I turn it back on, I get a message saying "Windows boot manager - Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause..." Unfortunately, I don't have a Windows disc to work with. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks a ton!

I feel your pain! The error code 0xc0000185 can be tricky. Generally, the recovery steps should work for multiple error codes. If the Startup Repair doesn’t fix it, you might need to dig a bit deeper into recovery options or consider creating a recovery USB once you can. Don’t worry, you’re not alone in this! Keep asking questions; it’s the best way to learn.
If you don’t have a Windows recovery USB, you can try this method to access Windows Recovery Mode:
1. Turn on your PC and then power it off as soon as you see the manufacturer's logo (around 10-15 seconds).
2. Repeat that step a couple more times.
3. When you power it on again, it should lead you into Windows Recovery Mode.
Once you’re in, you can select the option for Startup Repair under Troubleshoot > Advanced options. This might help fix the issue.
