Hey everyone! I've been noticing that my PC is struggling to handle tasks that it used to do without breaking a sweat. Even simple things like switching between windows while downloading can really slow it down. I'm looking for some advice on what I should upgrade to improve overall performance. Here are my specs:
- Ryzen 5 3600
- RTX 3060
- 16GB 2132MHz RAM
- 2x 1TB hard drives
- TUF B450M-plus
All drivers and updates are current. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

You might also want to think about giving Windows a fresh install. Sometimes a clean slate can help with performance issues. Plus, since you're on a Ryzen 5 3600, it could be the CPU that's holding you back. Upgrading to a 5700X3D could give you a nice boost. Just make sure that RAM is running at its proper speed after you enable XMP!
It looks like your RAM is pretty slow at 2132MHz. Have you checked if you enabled XMP (Extreme Memory Profile)? That's a big one for performance. Also, if you haven't already, consider upgrading to an SSD. It'll significantly improve boot times and loading speeds for games. Mechanical drives can really be a bottleneck when multitasking.
Just to add, if you're still using mechanical hard drives, it’s crucial to consider getting an SSD. That’ll alleviate a lot of your performance problems, especially when multiple applications are running. Connecting an SSD is very straightforward—just the same way as you would with a traditional hard drive!
