I have a PC located upstairs, but my internet router is downstairs. The wireless speeds are really sluggish, and I'm looking for a way to use an ethernet connection without running a long cable throughout my home. Are there any solutions that work well in situations like this?

Definitely check out powerline adapters! They utilize your existing electrical circuits to transmit internet signals. Just plug one near your router and another near your PC. It’s a neat way to avoid having to run any long cables.
If running a long cable isn't on the table, you might want to look into using MoCA adapters, which let you use your cable TV wiring for internet access. Alternatively, powerline adapters can take advantage of your home's electrical wiring, but remember that their performance can depend on your home's wiring quality. Setting up a mesh Wi-Fi network could also be a good solution if you're looking for wireless options.
MoCA and powerline adapters are both solid options. I recently helped a friend set one up, and it worked like a charm! Just look for a model that suits your needs and you should be good to go.
Yeah, I’ve had good experiences with those too, especially if you’re in a newer building.

Sounds like a plan! I think a mesh network could really enhance your Wi-Fi coverage, especially since you’re in an upstairs area.
