I'm dealing with an overheating SSD issue in my PC. I've narrowed it down, and it seems like the SSD is getting really hot, especially since it's positioned behind the GPU. Unfortunately, all my NVME slots are filled—one is above the GPU with a cooler, while the other two are right behind it. I've seen a really pricey extension cable, but I'm not sure about moving the SSD to another spot since there's not much mounting space available. The SSD is brand new and often overheats even when the system is just on standby. I didn't have this issue with my previous SSDs. I'm considering switching it to the cooler slot and hoping the other SSD can handle the heat better. What are my options here?

What SSDs are you using right now? And is there a cooling solution in place? Having heatsinks can really make a difference, especially with tight setups like yours. Also, how did you determine it’s the SSDs overheating?

I've tried multiple fixes like changing antivirus software, adjusting BIOS settings, and even cleaning up temp files. I monitored things with tools like process hacker and CrystalDisk. The main SSD is a Crucial P310 2TB behind the GPU without a heatsink, and it was overheating past 65°C, while my other drives are doing just fine.
